CCRI applications open to become a pilot or fellow!

Circular Cities and Regions Initiatives (CCRI)

As a part of the EU’s Circular Economy Action Plan, the Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) focuses on implementing the circular economy across Europe’s cities and regions. Cities, regions or territorial clusters can become either a Pilot or a Fellow in this programme.

As a Pilot or Fellow, you will have opportunities to build your capacity, expand your networks, collaborate with other territories and stakeholders, access and exchange a wealth of information and knowledge, and increase the visibility of your territory and its activities.

  • As a Pilot, youwill engage with the CCRI Coordination and Support Office (CCRI-CSO) and stakeholders to develop successful circular economy solutions and share knowledge and lessons learned.  The CCRI-CSO Expert Task Force will provide tailored support to Pilots, helping them to autonomously develop their Circular Systemic Solutions and either develop or refine a Circular Economy Action and Investment Plan.
  • As a Fellow, you will be part of the same learning space and in contact with the same peers and knowledge providers. You will be able to participate in all CCRI-CSO webinars and one thematic working group. Fellows may decide to learn from the knowledge-sharing processes in an observer role, or to themselves act as knowledge providers in peer-to-peer learning processes with the Pilots.

To express your interest, all you need to do is fill out an application form (via EUSurvey) by 29 April 2022.

Detailed instructions are provided in the form, including further information about eligibility. The form is available in several languages (EN, DE, ES, FR, IT, PL), although responses must be submitted in English. In the application form, you also have the option to indicate a preference to participate as either a Pilot or a Fellow.

Further information about the call, the roles and support for Pilots and Fellows, and the CCRI as a whole is available via the web page. If you have any questions, you are also welcome to contact the helpdesk by emailing helpdesk@circular-cities-and-regions.eu

Following the conclusion of the application process, the selection of the Pilots and Fellows will be confirmed in June 2022.
